The National Conference of Women’s Bar Associations began in 1981 and was officially formalized in 1983. The organization advocates for the equal treatment of women in and under the law. NCWBA goals include increasing the number of female attorneys and judges, improving firm diversity, and supporting local-level women bar associations.

Heart disease is the leading cause of death among women. Go Red for Women is an initiative under the American Heart Association to increase heart health education and raise awareness and funds for medical research.
