TEDx Topeka, December 8th, 2015
Operated under a license from TED, Topeka hosted its TEDx Topeka event on December 8th, 2015 at the Topeka Civic Theatre and Academy. TED started as a nonprofit conference dedicated to “Ideas Worth Spreading,” and today operates conferences around the world. The Topeka event featured speakers from around the area touching on subjects ranging from taxation to self-worth. Angel and Larry Zimmerman both had the opportunity to attend the event. Speaking of the event in general, Angel said, “It’s great to have these events and really show the community what a wealth of knowledge we have in our area. These locally organized events truly showcase what a great city Topeka is and can be.”
